Shopify store marketing: making the most of the platform in Egypt and the Gulf

Shopify is one of the strongest store platforms in the world, and many brands in Egypt and the Gulf choose it when they want more flexibility and wider integration with marketing tools. Its real strength is not only in how the store looks, but in what it gives your ads: a product catalog connected to the platforms, accurate tracking, and email marketing that brings customers back.

  • Google

Connect the platforms from day one

Shopify connects Meta, TikTok, Google and Snapchat through official apps, so purchase events and product data reach each platform automatically. That connection is the foundation of any successful campaign.

But connecting is not enough. We check that every event arrives once, that the order value is right and in the right currency, and that server-side events are on to make up for what browsers lose. Without that, the platforms make decisions on incomplete data.

Catalog ads

When your product catalog is connected to the platforms, you can show customers the exact product they viewed, or similar ones, in an ad that updates its price and image automatically. These ads are very strong for retargeting, especially for stores with many products.

We care about the quality of the catalog itself: clear names, clean photos, up-to-date prices and correct categories. A tidy catalog means better ads and lower cost.

Email marketing: sales you don't pay for twice

You paid once to reach every customer who bought from you or left a cart. Email brings them back without paying for ads again. Abandoned-cart emails, post-purchase emails and seasonal offers all add sales at very little cost.

  • An abandoned-cart reminder within hours
  • A thank-you email after purchase with how to use the product
  • Complementary product suggestions a few weeks later
  • Special offers for customers in the big seasons

A real story: more than 20M EGP in one year

With the hair care brand, we started by analysing the market and defining 3 real customer segments, then launched campaigns on Meta and TikTok, and later expanded to Google and influencers.

We built a Shopify store and set up email marketing and catalog ads. The result: more than 20M EGP in sales within one year, at a 6.8x return. The strength was not in one platform but in a system working together: ads that bring the customer, a store that convinces them, and email that brings them back.

Shopify, Salla or Zid?

There is no single answer. Shopify gives you more flexibility and wider integration with global tools, and suits brands that sell in more than one market. Salla and Zid are closer to the Saudi market in local shipping and payment. Read our Salla stores and Zid stores guides to compare.

If you are starting from scratch, we help you choose and build as part of our e-commerce stores service, then run the ads through paid ads management.
